I was fortunate to have this group perform at a recent Elegant Events weddings. They did the ceremony music and cocktails. AMAZING! So kind, so talented. They made everyone feel good. If you're looking for something unique, consider the Brotherhood singers. So glad the mother of the bride, Lisa Carter, booked them! Really one of the highlights of the wedding. "Hailing from Covington, KY and Cincinnati, OH the Brotherhood Singers are among the very few remaining Quartet style groups that still perform in the old-school acapella fashion. The Singers specialize in the intricate and emotional four-part harmony "jubilee" style pioneered by such legendary groups as the Dixie Hummingbirds. the Golden Gate Quartet, the Soul Stirrers and The Harptones of Cincinnati.
The Brotherhood Singers (formerly The Northern Kentucky Brotherhood Singers) started singing at the 9th Street Baptist Church in Covington, KY. The group has performed in churches, secular music venues and television spots throughout the U.S., as well as in Canada and Spain, which they have toured 17 times.
They have been blessed to enter their 25th year as an Acapella group and not only sing Gospel but have recently added Patriotic and feel good R&B's to their repertoire.
2012 is half way over and the Brotherhood Singers have already completed a successful ten day tour of Russia (St. Petersburg, Kaliningrad, Kirov and Nizhny Novgorod) thanks to the CEC Artslink Organization, Library of Congress and Russian Embassy and are scheduled to sing in a Friendship Concert during the World Choir Games (July 12), the Great Lakes Folk Festival in East Lansing, Michigan (August 11-12) and render the National Anthem for the Cincinnati Bengals Regular Season Home Opener versus the Cleveland Browns (The Battle of OHIO) on September 16.

In 2009, some exciting firsts - The Library of Congress, The Kennedy Center Millennium Stage, Lowell Folk Festival, World Choir Games announcement, Bootsy's, Ascent of Praise, a Facebook and Twitter page and singing via Satellite Broadcast from Covington to Sommerset, KY (3 hours away). They also sung in the movie "Easy Rider 2" (trailer on our website).
In 2008, they completed three tours to Spain (Easter in March, September and December), one trip to the Butte, Montana 70th Folk Festival and The Dayton, Ohio Cityfolk Festival.
They've sung at the Kentucky Governor’s Mansion, Ottawa's Blues Fest (98-99), numerous appearances on Fox 19, Basketball and MLB Baseball games.
The Lord and these wonderful opportunities have allowed them the opportunity to put together a wonderful presentation of songs for their 5th album released in March 2012. Songs included are "I'll Fly Away", "Jesus, You're All I Need To Get By", "My Prayer" and the title track "One Purpose Only".
They give God all the glory for without HIM none of this would have been possible and look forward to singing Gospel, Patriotic and/or feel good R&B's in a wonderful city or country near you."
